The two local beaches of Lakkos Bay and Orkos Bay are some of the prettiest on the island. They lie 100m below the villa.
Lakkos Bay, like most of Paxos, is a beach made of large pebbles and so the water is crystal clear. The sound of the waves on the beach can be heard up at the villa. Lakkos beach is our favourite – it is small and beautiful, and quiet compared to many beaches on Paxos.
Orkos Bay is the larger of the two beaches under the villa. It is a great place for a swim or a snorkel, and is a popular lunch-at-anchor stop for the yachts.
Orkos and Lakkos beaches can be reached in 5 minutes by taking the steep and rocky paths down the hillside through the olive groves and cypress trees. For an easier and more gentle walk, both beaches can also be reached by a longer loop along the roads and car tracks in 15-25 minutes.
